Song From Nature (2020)
Installation
25 x 20 feet
Our world suffers from numerous problems: pollution, global warming, deforestation, extinction of species, etc. These problems are the result of humanity changing. That is why humans need to better approach nature, natural resources and the value of nature.
My work’s response to sites in the natural world is an attempt to provide the viewer with a starting point to begin contemplating their own landscape and possibly their part in its preservation. I catch the inspiration for my installation art from one song. Myanmar has a famous classical song by U Hla Htut about the cloud named Courier Clouds. The song requests the clouds to bring the rain, so the natural environment would be cool and peaceful. The color white is associated with light, goodness, innocence, and purity. The color green represents life, renewal, nature, and energy. My work highlights the song’s lyrics and poetic manner to bring good weather in the future.
